Obituary for IRENE BELCHER

Irene R. Belcher






Irene R. Belcher went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

She was born in Washington, D.C., April 2, 1932, the oldest of three children. She was married for 58 years to Rev. Bobbie H. Belcher.

She is survived by their four daughters, Sharon Belcher-Erwin, Russ Erwin of Salisbury, MD; Brenda, Lynn Lowery of Greenville, SC; Deborah, Ken Finlay of Chesapeake, VA; and Ruth, David Lundblom of Norfolk, VA. Also grandchildren: John Jenkins of Hebron, MD; David, Vicki Lowery of Greenville, SC; Michele, Jay Sessoms of Salisbury, MD; Mark, Sara Lowery of Malmo, Sweden; Bruce, Linda Finlay of Chesapeake, VA; Samantha, Chris Scott of Stafford, VA; Kristina, Brandon Thompson and James Finlay of Chesapeake, VA; Chad, Jackie Erwin of Sorrento, ME. Also great-grandchildren: Kenneth, Elizabeth, Michaela, Victoria, Abigail, Samantha; Miranda; Payton, Madison, Keagan; Alexis, and Anthony.

She will be remembered as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose devotion to God was seen through the life and love of her family.

Her family will be celebrating her life with a family visitation held at Holloway Funeral Home on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. followed by a celebration service at Immanuel Baptist Church in Salisbury, MD on Friday, April 23, 2010, at 9 A.M.. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, VA, on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. Irene R.
